Common Questions

Do I need to be VAT registered to use this invoice?

No. You only need to charge VAT if your business is registered for VAT (typically once your turnover exceeds ยฃ90,000 per year). If you are not registered, simply leave the VAT rate at 0% and FluxInvoice will generate a standard invoice without the VAT line.

Where do I put my VAT registration number?

Use the 'VAT / Tax ID' field in the 'Your Business' section. Your VAT number (e.g. GB123456789) will appear on the generated PDF invoice, which is required for HMRC-compliant VAT invoices.

Is this compliant with HMRC invoice requirements?

FluxInvoice generates invoices with the key information HMRC requires: your business name, address, VAT number, invoice date, a unique invoice number, a clear description of goods/services, and the VAT amount charged.
